AVAILABLE NOW ONLINE Welcome to Bridge Street Records, the independent recording label and production company of Darrin James (Greenawalt). The new CD, The Lovely Ugly Truth, by Darrin James Band is now available through online retailers such as I-Tunes and CD Baby. It is the sophmore release for James on this label, and it continues his eclectic apporach to writing, singing, and production. In addition to the regular DJB lineup (Darrin James: singer/songwriter/guitarist, Jordan Shapiro on keys, Dave Johnsen on bass, Bill Mead on drums), the album also features a stellar horn section led by Stuart Bogie (Antibalas, TV on the Radio), with Aaron Johnson (Dap Kings, Fela!) and Kelly Pratt (Beirut, Arcade Fire) as well as the sweet vocals of Maria Neckam, pedal steel by the great Gerald Menke, superb string work by Kenji Bunch (Citigrass), and the soulful vocals of Christina Kornegay.
